A study set is a $75 preview of a plan: dimensioned floor plans for every level, all four exterior elevations, door and window schedules, and a specification sheet covering heated area, porches, garage, footprint, ridge height, bed and bath count, ceiling heights, foundation type, framing and roof pitch. Enough to hand a builder for a budget number and enough to check the footprint against your lot. Forty-four plans have one.
It will not get you a permit. Study sets are reduced and not to scale, they carry no build license, and every sheet is marked NOT LICENSED and NOT FOR CONSTRUCTION. Permit offices do not accept them. Foundation plans, framing, sections, structural details and electrical drawings are in the licensed construction set only.
The $75 credits in full toward the construction set for that same design, for twelve months, on purchases made directly here. It does not transfer to another plan, so if you are torn between two, buy the study set for the one you are more likely to build. When a plan is close but not exact, we quote modifications at no charge.
