The Palm House is built around its kitchen. There is a separate prep area, a big pantry, a breakfast nook and a snack bar where everyone leans while dinner happens, and it opens to a great room with exposed beams overhead. The entry stair is the first thing you see from the front door, and it is drawn to be looked at.
Out the back, a screened porch with its own fireplace runs into an open deck. The primary bedroom has a private covered balcony and plenty of closet space. Upstairs, two bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill bath and the third has a bath of its own, which settles the question of who gets the guest room.
