The Wave is a one-level coastal cottage with deep gable overhangs on Craftsman brackets and a round window in the gable. The back of the house is turned to the view: sliding doors off the dining area lead to a large rear deck, part of it covered.
An oversized island anchors the open living space, with a 7 foot 7 inch by 4 foot walk-in pantry behind it. The primary bedroom steps forward from the front of the house, which keeps it private from the rest, and the two other bedrooms share a Jack-and-Jill bath. The laundry hides behind pocket doors.
Overhangs, brackets and a round window: the deep gables on wooden brackets and the circular window make the front of the house.
A big rear deck, part covered: off the dining room through sliding doors, with a roof over one end for the rain and the midday sun.
An island and a real pantry: an oversized prep island and a walk-in pantry, 7 feet 7 inches by 4.
A primary bedroom set forward: the owner's bedroom pushes out from the front footprint, apart from the other rooms.
A Jack-and-Jill and a hidden laundry: the two secondary bedrooms share a bath, and the laundry sits behind pocket doors.

The Wave is drawn on a crawlspace foundation. A local engineer sizes the foundation for your soil and wind zone.
How tall is The Wave and how much ground does it cover?
The maximum ridge height is 26' 0". The footprint is 32' 0" x 69' 0", which is the number to check against your setbacks; porches and the garage count toward it even though they are not in the heated area. Heated living area is 1,594 square feet on 1 story.
What comes in the plan set for The Wave, and what do I still need locally?
A licensed construction set: cover sheet with general notes, foundation plan, dimensioned floor plans for every level, all four exterior elevations, a cross section, roof plan, electrical plans, and door and window schedules, sold as PDF, PDF plus CAD, or Chief Architect files. Every set is licensed for one build at your build address. An engineer's review and stamp where required, a site plan, engineered floor and roof framing, mechanical and plumbing drawings and energy compliance are produced locally, as they are for any stock plan.
Can I look at The Wave in detail before buying the full set?
Yes. A $75 study set of The Wave includes dimensioned floor plans for every level, all four elevations, door and window schedules and a specification sheet, enough to hand a builder for a budget number and to check the footprint against your lot. It is not licensed for construction. The $75 credits in full toward the The Wave construction set for twelve months.
